Guess what, I'm absolutely bored with blogging.

Not in general, but in the way I used to do it. I've started to feel pretty uncomfortable about sharing my life with everyone on the Internet except my closest friends (because they know what I'm doing anyways, so they probably won't read it). I'll also quit writing anything to my (not so precious) LiveJournal, it will still be available though (for sketchblogging and following others lives). I hate the LJ-Interface anyhow.

After reading some of my old blogentries I was like "C'mon! That bores even you!" and the only possibility to encounter that, at least for me, is to stop blogging as you know it, or at least shake up the very foundations of it.

So what am I aiming for?
The world is full with highly delicate information, full with things you can possibly learn and try, imagine and define, wonder about and advocate for, things you possible don't even know. I don't want to read about other people's life anymore, the time you spent stalking can also spent on opening your horizon or working on your goals / dreams. Sometimes it's pretty neat to stalk around though, so I will only mostly cut it out. I want to offer you more than just what I did over a period of n days with my time.

So what's the point?
I want to start writing about things which attract my interest. I want my blog to become more sophisticated, more profound and (!utter!) more philosophical. I'm also contemplating about better commenting solutions, because my new topics will be more likely to start some discussions. I don't want to deliver information only simplex to you, moreover I want to create a somewhat duplex situation, which means: in the future, I will be more interested in your opinion. However first everything has to start off. So I better STFFU and let the words do the explaining for me.

So everyone who is reading this right now and still wants to be informed about things I have to say:
Just follow the RSS-Feed I've provided on my Website. For those not already knowing RSS, go check it out! It's very cool, and Firefox can handle it out of the box.

- ecki

A lot has been happening during my blog-absence time and I'm going to recapitulate everything as well as possible.

About half a month ago I went to the "Thomann" with 2 friends. Thomann is the biggest store for music instruments our rural horizon has to offer. It hit my face thrice: When I looked at the pianos, the violins / celli / contrabass and at last... the guitars. It was the first time for me visiting that store and I could only watch everything with the eyes of a child looking at an UFO. After about 1 hour of sheer gawping, I was finally able to play on a few different guitars and check out some amps. I'll definitely buy my new violin there if I'm getting a better one. I can only recommend that store in every way and to everybody who wants to know / buy something music instrument related.

Well, afterwards on our way home, one of my companions said: "Hey, how about driving to Schloss-Thurn?!". I'd never been to Schloss Thurn before, I only knew that it is some sort of fun-park for little children, with a bouncy castle and ridiculous stuff. I really thought that this was some sort of messing around with me, because I had the map, and the way to their "schloss-thurn" headed right homewards.

But guess what, it wasn't a trick.
After about 20 minutes of driving around + searching I found myself right before the gates of Schluss Thurn.

To make a long story short:

It really wasn't for kids only

However I guess we were a bit to old anyhow

There was some sort of wood-wrafting-rollercoaster, which was very funny

We got wet a lot while doing a couple water activities

Lately it turned out to be a somehow very fun filled tripp and I'd do it again

Because of our wet clothes we drove the remaining way home in shorts only

I cannot remember the exact dates anymore, so I'm maybe going to jump around in time a bit, sorry for that.

I've bought myself a quite nice stage-microphone for home-recording. The first thing I had to notice was: The inputs on my soundcard are some sort of pain in the ass. The Line-In was quite ok, but I didn't have a preamp. After two shitty rustling recordings I also bought a preamp, now I'm able to record nearly without chschhhhhhhhhh..... If you want to listen to a recording, I can upload it, just tell me.

There was no DSA since my last blogging, because of several upcoming issues.

About one or two weeks ago I've visited a games workshop with a friend of mine. Because he's collecting and playing the Lord of the Rings - Tabletop game, hence I dug out my old Warhammer 40k miniatures and started painting again. I noticed that painting miniatures with my oil colors is pretty comfortable, because you don't have to hurry about blendings, etc. I'll upload some photos if you like.

Sunday and Monday I've been to my girlfriend, to party her birthday! We walked around a lot and everything was fun. However I ruined a string of her guitar, strangely nothing happend while tuning and playing, but a few hours later we've noticed a loose string. Sorry I'll repare that!

Thanks to everyone for the pleasant time so far!

- ecki

Yesterday I met with a good friend of mine, you can read more about that in my last entry, if you like. As you maybe read out of the description of my scrap number 00002 (on my homepage), yesterday, I've bought anything that I need for mixing my own oil-color.

Well, what did I buy?

several pigments

red (azo-scarlet)

yellow (cadmium)

blue (ultramarine)

white (titan)

black (soot carbonization)

a small glass muller

turpentine oil

linseed oil varnish

a few empty syringes

Yesterday I gave it a first try.
I put a little spot of oil onto a flat glass, and, with a spoon, carefully covered it with black pigment (at least I don't want to poison my self with anything). I took an old butter-knife from the kitchen and mixed the pigment and oil together. Than I let it rest for about 5 minutes. After about 5 passes with the muller I gave it another rest. I repeated that several times. I put the ready mixed and tooth-paste like black color into a syringe and built little caps to fully close them.

Now to what I didn't tell
It was a terrible mess, and I acted like a complete fool, surrounded with even more mess. Luckily everything, till the mixing went well, so no pigment or liquid took any harm. It was just my desk, my bathroom and... even one of my walls. Now, everything got cleaned up again and I know that I have to obtain more skills in filling the colors into syringes (that's where it escalated). I wasn't able to stick the back of the syringe back in, so I put a little pressure onto. The result was a black worm crawling up on one of my walls, haha. (luckily ONLY the wall was hit). now I have about 15 ml of black oil-color, which satisfies me already. Over the next days I'll iterate through the other pigments, to collect some experience and routine with the process (and probably get some sterno).

I appreciate any useful suggestion, or comment,
thanks for your precious time.
Lunchbreak again

It's lunch-break, that's why I decided to write another blog entry. My roommates are eating deliciously smelling stuff, that's why I'm quite hungry like a hell-hound right now. However, I'll eat later on / probably 7:00 PM :-(

As you've maybe seen, my homepage has a new analog-art-section, named "scraps". Here I am going to upload sketched ideas, studies, works in progress and everything that isn't suitable for the other sections. If you're a very sophistic reader you may also have noticed, that they are made in the youth-center of Cadolzburg, which is quite unusual for my drawings.

I'll give you the reason for this:
A well organized movement is right ahead, because some slight fanatic artists from Cadolzburg (me included) have compiled a little art-corner in the local youth-center. usually hard-coded locations+terminations are pretty much doomed to decay, however this one has some sort of flexible time, which makes its existence possible. You can go there and draw if you like and if you're a lucky one, someone will join you (moreover, this is mostly the case). The vantage is crystal clear, you can communicate with other artists and it gives you a much higher motivation than simply drawing alone. if only more than one person is interested in it, it will always have a self consisting existence.

Originally, the reason for it's assembling was the meeting between an old friend of mine and me at the youth-center "Herz" in Cadolzburg, for drawing some sketches together. Pretty soon some other artists joined us and BAM, there it goes.

Today he'll pick me up on a ride to the Bösner, a big shop for artists in Nuremberg. He wants to see that shop and maybe buy several equipment there. I am going to purchase some stuff for oil-painting. A red, blue and yellow pigment, as well as suitable oil, biological-turpentine-oil and maybe such a glass thingie for strictly combining the colors with the oil on a glass-plate. Also I got to know someone who can possibly provide some pigments for free, (he's working with chemicals and tests colors), however they're mostly poisonous.

I'm really interested in painting something with oil, because my acrylic colors are easily drying up on my palette within a few strokes on the canvas, which puts me under time pressure and limits my concentration on the drawing process itself.

Well, I'm done like bottle empty,
For tomorrow I took a day off, because at the evening we'll be at DSA, and that can take very long (e.g. 4 AM).

For today I'm done with everything that had to be done, now I have infused a tee. Today I have worked throughout my lunch break, without noticing it, so I am taking it now. That's why I'm typing this right now. : D
(I wouldn't do this during my working time.)

Yesterday I had a visit of two good friends, we've eaten something together and had a funny evening. Moreover we fooled a ticket inspection on their way home by lying about ones age.
(We're Extremely cool, aren't we?) >B-D>

Yesterday I had roasted noodles. However, I could eat them today again, which I probably will. My menu looks very blunt the recent time, it's full of rice, noodles, potatoes and everything else that is cheap and sates. All because of my piano, but I'm still miles away from it, haha. Well, it's funny anyhow. I guess I'll stay with that diet, it's very tasty.

Since last weekend I have a light cough, but I'm about to stem it pretty well. With tee and drops.

Ok, that's it for now

Greetings,
- ecki

Today I've updated almost everything that can be updated and with this entry my blog and LiveJournal will be updated too, haha.

For now I have done everything that was on my agenda today, I've cleaned the dishes, cleaned my kitchen and vacuumed my flat, now I'm feeling very harmonic and free of duties. I love that feeling.

I use that time for uploading a picture I've drawn several months ago, which I actually didn't want to upload, because its lack of idea, intention and concept. But screw that, I like how it turned out, maybe you like it too.

Something about my apprenticeship. I've heard that you will be invited for the midterm exam, which I wasn't, which means, that I will have mine most likely not until fall 2009. However, it wouldn't make any difference, because that exam isn't important at all, theoretically you can hand them an empty sheet of paper and they're satisfied, as far as I got it right.
(However I'm going to try myself out)

DSA last Friday was very funny, and it went till Saturday, 4 am. The rest of the weekend was more about calibrating my sane sense of sleep-times. on Saturday we [my girlfriend and I] decided to prepare some burgers, with special-vegan burger-roasties and very slouchiy bread, salad, pickles and onions. However, they tasted pretty good.

The last three weeks of school had been only two weeks of school for me, because I caught a heavy cold right after the first week, which disabled me until the last week. But I've missed nothing important, only one test, which I instantly fetched up within the last week. The time I've spent at school went into very fruitful tasks, e. g. into some "edit blog-entry" functions, here on my website, which makes blogging much easier for me.
(unfortunately you are not able to see them, but trust me, they are alive and kicking.)

I'm done for now.

- ecki

I didn't know whether putting my knife stuff under a cut or not. Well, I did.

Yesterday I spent almost every free minute on sharpening my pocket knife (after work of course). I am practising on getting the sharpest edge humanly possible on my knifes, without using any tools, except sharpening stones, hones and steels. Well, however I am still not even close to the sharpness I want to obtain, but I became much better than my first few tries. The fist time I could "nach Bamberg reiten" on my knifes, which is german and means, that they were really really dull afterwards. Now I'm able to shave hairs off my arm, but however, only on the first half of the knife properly. I guess that my angle was still a bit to steep on the lower half. Now I just have to wait if the knife stays sharp over a longer period of time, if not, I would still have to work on polishing the edge and my sharpening angle even more.

By the way, I've bought a new straight razor, a black-green DOVO, looks pretty nice. The day before yesterday I have sharpened it, because the standard factory sharpening just isn't doing it. Maybe I'll put a picture of it online within my next entry.

Next Friday will be DSA (Das Schwarze Auge - a pen on paper role play) again, and I'm really looking forward to it. Especially because my Girlfriend will stay at my place from Thursday to Saturday or Sunday. :D

Over the next 3 weeks I will be at vocational school again, and my midterm exam will most likely be on the 4th of March. So there's a lot to be done. The main part of the exam is to find the location anywhere in town. Or at least for me, my orientation is ghastly.

Currently it looks as if the end of February will be the great piano-time for me, but I shouldn't reckon on that.

(Something I have to revisit from my previous entry:
If you are interested in hearing some recording's of my singing + give me your opinion about it, just leave me a note.)

Germanic greetings
- Bob der Baumeister

Information on Eckiminati.de: -----------------------
Well, as you can probably see, I have included the possibility to subscribe to my Weblog via RSS. So there arose one question for me: Shall I do any more advertisement around that Feed, like with a nice icon + link anywhere on my page, or is it obvious enough that my website supports it?
--------------------------------------------------

The day before yesterday I got my new kitchen tap. The last few weeks I had to live without water in my kitchen. I reminded me a bit of old farmhouse-living, if you want to prepare a hot meal, you just have to go and get some water at the well (or at least from my bathroom).

The story behind that was: A friend of mine wanted to hand me a nice new kitchen tap for Christmas, but all ran into some sort of maximum credible accident and I had a Christmess right in the kitchen. In the end it was a very memorable present, and now I've got a completely new tap as well as water boiler too. However, everything is fine again. Except my plans on buying a piano, they are - due to the costs - a bit delayed now. However the space would be there, because I recently sold my E-Organ, and heavily bruised my left-thumb while humping it down the stairs.
Meanwhile it [the thumb] has taken many funny colors.

Soon, I will upload a few drawings that I have done recently and maybe some sketches on deviantArt too. Every sketch that is uploaded on deviantArt will, of course, find its way to the sketchblog (da_paintbox).

Hm, I'm hungry...

I am going to close that entry for now.

Greetings, I like you.

I've started singing

This entry will be more like some sort of twittering, however usually I don't like short-blogging-services of any kind. Today is just about finding some open minds that are willing to help me.

Surely some of you have noticed it already, I've started to practice some singing exercises and to record several songs. Well I'm not some sort of "I'm practicing deeply in the cellar"-guy, for me it's more like a communicative sort of learning (which I think is really important for a good singing).

So that brought me to my following question. Do you wanna hear some recordings of mine and give me your opinion? If you want to I can upload them on a regular base and append them to my entries. I'm not working with some sort of vocal coach or teacher, however I do know what I'm doing and I do have a bunch of professional singing exercises, so I'm not just working into the blue.

My recordings are not very good yet, but they are about to get better. Your opinion would help me keeping track of my progress.

Of course I'm NOT doing this because I want some sort of positive resonance, I just want an open jury. If my singing sounds like a farting donkey someday, you are really allowed to say that too.

If enough people are interested I'm going to make a little poll about it, "which song (e.g. out of three) would you like me to record next?", or something alike.

So to let me know, simply leave a comment on that entry.

That very Friday

Today is not any Friday, no, today is a damn it freezing cold Friday (-17°C/1°F) with a damaged heater beneath my desk. Nobody knows how long it will be staying that way, however everybody in here knows that it's cold. Country: Germany, feels like: Siberia

Maybe first I've got to apologize for not posting very often, I had a bit of "a lazy-phase" over the last months. I wasn't drawing very much or doing anything at all "much". However I'm free to have such periods and I'm free to post when I consider the time as right. Like I'm also not anticipating you to read this, isn't that nice?

What you're getting now is a bunch of random information about what happened recently, mixed with real-time information:

I have got my grannies old television, a PSP (now I really took a step to capitalism) with a bundle of games and played "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy". However the most useful purchase I've made was a new teapot, which is almost steadily in use. That were every important new material things in my life.

I'll be surely getting ill today

At Christmas I had the job to make a meal for the whole family (mom, dad, grandma, her friend, cat and dog), because they didn't know how to prepare something that I want to eat too (due to veganism). I made filled zucchini, and they liked it :D

If the heater wont be repaired till Monday I have to bring some sort of gloves for typing... that long and slender women ones, haha...

Did I already mention that I am about to buy a piano? However I fist have to continue saving my money a bit. My old e-organ has to be gone till than. There is a guy named Joe, he wants to have it for his ergo-therapy-center, and he can, but he doesn't care about it. Which means, he doesn't call me whatsoever. I think that I am going to sell it elsewhere soon.

I should stop moaning right now...

I have done some sketches over the last weeks and I am going to upload them on the LiveJournal-sketchblog I'm in. I started to like doing sketches with my fountain pen, it's quite interesting because you cannot erase anything or push some sort of undo button, you just have to go forward and get the best out of it. Moreover it goes very fast.

...

Sylvester was very nice, my girlfriend and another friend of mine walked through the winterly Cadolzburg, with all the nice rockets making there way through the foggy air, bursting in the new year of 2009 and filling our lungs with smog and our brains with pictures from 2nd world war. I hate fireworks, they're senseless and almost useless.

I guess everything's told now...

Well I'm done with this entry, and I'm glad to be back again.

- ecki

    <lj:music>"Nine Inch Nails - Echoplex"</lj:music>

This entry is pretty long, so I'll put it under a cut. Just how I said on my homepage, I'm too lazy to write everywhere something special an new, that's much to complicated and time wasting for me. I'm going to write my entries once and post them mainly on my website and a copy here on Livejournal.
Did I already mention, that I love that new Nine Inch Nails album ("the slip")? However, I'm sitting at work and I've got nothing to do, it's releasetime and there are only very very minor changes to be done. I'd read a few C++-programming-Books, which I'm actually doing, haha, but they're EBooks and my eyes don't want to read from a monitor today. Moreover I can't really concentrate on what I'm reading because I'm really tired today. The books require a lot of concentration, more than clasical stuff, ehehe. TINA! TINA! ...THE BULLDOZER, FAST! !'M SimpLY to FAT...
(I should go to bed a bit earlier or a bit later, but my current time isn't the very best)

I'll raise my general education level today with reading a lot of different network programming techniques.

Tomorrow I'll take a look into the Lidl-market in our town, because they'll be selling canvas and painting stuff, maybe they've got something usefull for me.
(I've got addicted to acrylic colors and I'm going to do more in the next days... so don't expect me answering much in the chats, ahaha)

In the recent days I recogniced that Internet it slowly taking the importance the television took for me once... and I don't like that, so I'll be reserving more time for drawing or creating something in the next time. I hope that this is ok for you, if not, I'll give a D! 'cause internet is a perfect interactive time-waster, haha
(sometimes it is very useful, but mostly it's for junk and blabla)

Right at that moment I gave myself the taste of a fresh infused, cup of green tea... and it's far from anything I drunk during the last few weeks, it's simply awesome.
(It's better than plain water, that's pretty special)

This weekend my girlfriend is going to visit me, maybe I'll go to the cinema with her and a friend tomorrow, but let's see. I'll have to go to town anyway, because I need several things (canvas from Boesner, SoySouce, Tofu, etc.). DSA has been terminated to next week on Thursday, which is the perfect appointment in my opinion. It's simply perfect.
(does at least anyone of the DSA-Group read this? / except S. van H.)

The birthday last weekend was pretty interesting, I was one of two provocateurs. Together we were just like hell I guess... but It was very funny.

I guess I told everything that's important, that's why I'm going to close that entry for now.
Thanks to all for reading this.

I'll be putting the entry itself under such a cut, but additional information will be written outside. I have a lot of sketches which must be scanned and uploaded. There are also a lot of sketches that I have scanned and uploaded on DeviantArt, but not overtaken in the paintbox. Sorry for being that lazy, ahaha. But I'll keep the paintbox alive, sure!

- ecki

    <lj:music>Nachtgeschrei - Hoffnungsschimmer</lj:music>

fuck fuck fuck
I've started my first entry, after about 250 words I hit some stupid shortcut which fucked up my browser, I hate webfrontends for uploading stuff.

Well I'll try to reconstruct my entry, haha
(I hate reconstructing entries, that's why I'm now writing in an extern texteditor, and just paste it into web when done.)

#---------------------(entry reconstruct start)-----------
I'm still struggling whether I should write my entries here in english or in german, but I think I'll write them in english, because it helps me improving my skills and more people are able to understand me.
(If you find any mistakes, don't hesitate to note them to me, because otherwise you'll have to read them again and again, because I'm not getting better, haha).

for my bloggin on EckiminatI.de I'll change my style, because I can't stand that simple and plain writing anymore (at least on my website). If you want to know what I mean, you can ask me or wait for an new blogentry on my homepage. On LiveJournal I'll keep my old writing-style.

Now I'm going to lead over to recent events:
That weekend I've been to the "feuertanz-festival" on castle abenberg in Germany, with 2 friend of mine. There have been 6 bands (Nachtgeschrei, Rabenschrey, Saltatio Mortis, Fiddler's Green, Subway to Sally, In Extremo). I'll write a short statement to any one of them:

Nachtgeschrei: In my opinion, the best band on that Saturday, I wanted to buy a CD, but they've been sold-out (and I think this is very self-explanatory).
Rabenschrey: that band sucked hard, we've got to sing something that sounded like "Ooooooooh Wie, DAS NERVT!", don't know what we're ought to sing.
Saltatio Mortis: They rocked like always, but they played almost exclusively songs from their new album, however I like them better.
Fiddler's Green: They sucked, because the bass was the only instrument we were able to hear, not even a single voice, only "DUZ DUZ DUZ".
Subway to Sally: The same here, only "DUZ DUZ DUZ", that was the point where we went out of the crowd (our heads already ached from the DUZ!).
In Extremo: well... the same here

We watched Subway to Sally and In Extremo from distance, the sound was a bit better than exactly in front of them. We took the time to walk around on the market and talked to several people.

depends on the bands whether we'll go to "feuertanz" next year or not.
(They need a new sound-engineering as fast as possible!)

I'm going to join Nisis Sketchblog, (if it's ok).
Now I've got enough time and enough sketches to keep my account there alive. that's why I asked.

well, now enough for my first entry here.
Thank you for your patience.

- ecki
